Senior Java Azure Cloud Engineer – Hybrid
Pinnacle Group is seeking a Senior Java Azure Cloud Engineer for a temporary, hybrid role in Tempe, AZ. This senior-level contract position requires strong Java and Azure cloud experience, hands-on DevOps automation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid schedule (three days in the office per week). The role focuses on developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-native services and APIs using Azure platform services and modern CI/CD automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based cloud services and APIs hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement integrations with Azure platform services and data stores (including Event Hub, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure PostgreSQL).
- Work with MongoDB where applicable to model and access application data.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to support automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, operations) to ensure reliable delivery and operation of cloud applications.
- Troubleshoot, tune, and resolve issues in distributed cloud environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Senior-level Java development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Event Hub, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with MongoDB and building API-driven applications.
- Strong background in DevOps automation and CI/CD.
- Advanced experience with GitHub Actions for build and test automation.
- Ability to work on a hybrid schedule (three days in the office per week) in Tempe, AZ.
