DevOps Engineer – Maryland
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join Shield Consulting Solutions on a full-time basis in Annapolis Junction, MD. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, can design and implement CI/CD pipelines, and has a solid understanding of Agile software development and DevOps practices. This role requires strong collaboration skills to work closely with peers across mid- to large-size teams and a customer-focused mindset to understand and address customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain containerized applications and environments using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Set up, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable software delivery.
- Apply DevOps best practices and Agile methodologies to streamline development and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate effectively with peers across mid- to large-size teams to plan and deliver solutions.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand customers’ needs and translate those requirements into operational practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Practical experience with containerization and orchestration tools (for example, Docker and Kubernetes).
