Backend Engineer/Developer – Remote

Infinity Quest UK is hiring Backend Engineer/Developer(s) to join a remote, full-time team building resilient, cloud-native services that power both customer-facing and store-operational applications.

Role overview

As a Backend Engineer you will be responsible for building and maintaining backend services that are robust, scalable, and production-ready. These services will support the user experience for customers as well as internal store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain resilient, cloud-native backend services.
• Deliver reliable functionality that powers customer-facing applications and store-operational systems.
• Ensure services meet production reliability, scalability and performance needs.
• Write maintainable, well-tested Node.js and TypeScript code.

Required skills and experience

• Proven experience developing backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

Role variants / additional requirements

• One open position requires DevOps experience.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud) is expected for at least some roles.
