Senior Data Engineer – Infra – New York
Solidus Labs builds surveillance software used by institutional entities globally, monitoring over a trillion events each day. We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer – Infra who is a strong software engineer with data engineering experience and a focus on building robust, scalable, maintainable, and thoroughly monitored data infrastructure.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and systems that support high-volume event processing.
- Ensure systems are robust, scalable, maintainable, and instrumented for comprehensive monitoring and alerting.
- Operate and improve production data services to meet reliability, performance, and observability goals.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate data infrastructure with downstream applications and workflows.
- Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
Who you are
- A strong software engineer with hands-on experience in data engineering.
- Proven ability to build and operate production-grade data infrastructure that is robust, scalable, maintainable, and thoroughly monitored.
- Comfortable working with systems that process very high event volumes and supporting critical business or customer-facing applications.
- Collaborative communicator who can work across teams and convey technical trade-offs and operational needs clearly.
