Position Overview
A Motion Graphic Designer responsible for creating high-quality visual content for broadcast and digital platforms. Combines strong design, animation, and storytelling skills to deliver compelling graphics under tight deadlines, particularly for live news and television productions.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce fast-turnaround motion graphics for live news events (debates, speeches, breaking news).
- Create original animated and static graphics for television programs, including:
- Show opens
- Packaging elements
- Promotional content (campaigns, tune-in promos, key art)
- Collaborate with producers, journalists, and control room teams to meet daily graphic requirements.
- Participate in editing and post-production sessions to ensure accurate visual execution.
- Translate complex topics into clear, engaging visual storytelling.
- Maintain and archive all program graphics systematically.
- Stay updated with latest motion design and digital technologies and recommend improvements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- Track work hours and maintain accurate project records.
🛠️ Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in:
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe Illustrator
- Working knowledge of:
- Blender
- Cinema 4D (preferred)
- Understanding of animation principles, typography, and composition.
- Ability to work with vector, raster, and audio elements.
- Familiarity with Motion Graphics Templates (MOGRTs).
- Experience with broadcast CG systems (e.g., Ross Xpression) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in team environments.
- Excellent communication and feedback collaboration skills.
🎓 Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in motion graphics or visual design.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating broadcast or digital motion work.
