Apptad Inc is seeking a Java backend Developer to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI on a hybrid basis. This full-time, long-term contract role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot, exposing RESTful APIs, and integrating with cloud platforms and databases. The successful candidate will work with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js components as needed and apply Spring Security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain backend services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and document RESTful APIs to support front-end and integration requirements.
Apply Spring Security to secure services and APIs.
Integrate with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js components where required.
Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services on cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP).
Work with relational and NoSQL databases for data storage and caching.
