DevOps Engineer – Maryland
Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, can design and implement CI/CD pipelines, and understands Agile software development and DevOps practices. This full-time position requires strong collaboration skills to work closely with peers across other mid- to large-size teams and a focus on understanding customers’ needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery.
- Use containerization and orchestration tools (for example, Docker and Kubernetes) to package and deploy applications.
- Apply Agile and DevOps practices to improve development and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate closely with peers on other mid- to large-size teams to coordinate deployments and integrations.
- Maintain a customer-focused approach when evaluating requirements and delivering solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Practical experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
