DevOps Engineer – Maryland

Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, knows how to set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and applies Agile software development and DevOps practices in collaborative environments. You will work closely with peers and other mid-to-large-size teams while maintaining a strong focus on understanding and addressing customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain containerized application environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build, configure, and operate CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Apply Agile and DevOps practices to support iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with peers and with other mid-to-large-size teams to coordinate development and deployment activities.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams of varying sizes and to focus on customer needs.
