2026 Fall Internship – Full Time – Mine Engineering – On-site
Join Freeport McMoRan’s Mine Engineering team for a full-time 2026 Fall Internship in Morenci, AZ. This position supports engineering activities through evaluation and data collection and by assisting with coordination of mining, mechanical, civil, and other engineering projects. The intern will contribute to developing scopes of work, preparing project information packages, generating cost estimates, and evaluating current systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform evaluation and data collection to support engineering analyses and project planning.
- Assist in coordinating mining, mechanical, civil, and other engineering projects.
- Help develop scopes of work for engineering projects.
- Generate cost estimates for assigned projects.
- Prepare project information packages for review and implementation.
- Assist in evaluating current systems to identify opportunities for improvement.
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $28.25 – $35.25 per hour
