We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of backend systems that ingest, process, and deliver vehicle and sensor data. The role focuses on building and maintaining real-time and batch data pipelines and backend services that support insights from driver behavior, vehicle diagnostics, and sensor telemetry. This position requires strong backend language skills and demonstrated, expert-level experience with Google Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines that move and transform data related to driver behavior, vehicle diagnostics, and sensor telemetry.
Design, implement, and support backend services using Kotlin, Java, Python, or a comparable JVM/backend language.
Deploy, operate, and optimize applications and data workflows on Google Cloud (GCP) at an expert level.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, reliability, and performance of backend systems.

Required Qualifications

Experience with Kotlin, Java, Python, or a comparable JVM/backend language.
At least 3 years of expert-level Google Cloud (GCP) experience.
Experience working with data from driver behavior, vehicle diagnostics, and sensor telemetry.
Senior-level backend engineering experience appropriate to the role.

Compensation

Salary range: $72,000 – $112,000
