Senior AWS Cognito & Okta IAM Engineer – Hybrid
We are hiring a Senior-level engineer to own identity and access management using AWS Cognito and Okta in a hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ. The position is full-time and requires hands-on work to operate, document, and coordinate IAM capabilities across multiple technical and governance teams. The successful candidate will produce and maintain operational runbooks and collaborate closely with application, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams.
Primary responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and support identity and access management solutions built on AWS Cognito and Okta.
- Create, update, and maintain operational runbooks and related documentation for IAM processes and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with application, cloud, DevOps, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise architecture teams to ensure IAM solutions meet technical, security, and regulatory needs.
- Support cross-team coordination for identity-related deployments, integrations, and operational issues.
Working relationships
- Partner with application teams on authentication/authorization integration and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with cloud and DevOps teams on deployments and environment configuration.
- Engage cybersecurity and compliance stakeholders to align IAM practices with security policies and controls.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture to ensure IAM solutions conform to architectural standards and roadmaps.
