Azure DevOps Engineer – Maryland

Openkyber is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Maryland for a full-time, in-person role. This position requires deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes, strong skills in CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native technologies. Candidates who only have AWS experience will not be considered. Compensation will be disclosed during the hiring process.

Role Overview

• Senior-level DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating cloud-native infrastructure and delivery pipelines on Microsoft Azure.
• Primary focus areas: Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• This is an on-site position; candidates must be able to work face-to-face in Maryland.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable application delivery.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes-based workloads running on Azure.
• Author and maintain infrastructure as code to provision and manage cloud resources.
• Apply cloud-native architecture and best practices to improve scalability, resiliency, and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to automate and streamline development lifecycles.
• Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Proven, senior-level experience with Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD automation and working with Infrastructure as Code.
• Experienced with cloud-native technologies and operational practices.
• Ability to work on-site (face-to-face) in Maryland.
• Note: Candidates whose primary experience is AWS will not be considered for this role.
