Lockheed Martin is seeking a creative and motivated Junior 3D Designer & Immersive Experience Developer to join its Transformative Engagement Solutions (TES) team. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to help build immersive 3D experiences and interactive applications that support enterprise-wide initiatives.

The successful candidate will collaborate with artists, developers, and engineers to create production-ready 3D assets, realistic environments, and interactive digital experiences using industry-leading software. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining creativity with technology and wants to work on innovative projects using real-time rendering tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize high-quality 3D assets for real-time rendering.
• Create immersive digital experiences using Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar game engines.
• Collaborate with software developers and designers to integrate visual assets into interactive applications.
• Produce realistic lighting, materials, animations, and visual effects for digital environments.
• Animate cameras, objects, and scenes to enhance user experiences.
• Utilize Unreal Engine Blueprints and Sequencer to develop interactive workflows.
• Continuously improve the visual quality and performance of applications.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute creative ideas throughout the development process.
• Support rapid prototyping and iterative improvements based on project requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Experience using Unreal Engine, Unity, or similar real-time development platforms.
• Proficiency with 3D design software such as Maya, Houdini, Photoshop, or comparable creative tools.
• Understanding of digital media production and application development principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently as well as within remote collaborative teams.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
• U.S. Citizenship is required due to system access requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D modeling software such as Maya, Modo, or 3ds Max.
• Knowledge of CAD model optimization and polygon mesh creation.
• Understanding of Physically Based Rendering (PBR) materials and shaders.
• Familiarity with HDRP workflows in Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Experience working with Unreal Engine Blueprints and Sequencer.
• Knowledge of visual effects, cinematic animation, or motion graphics.
• Previous experience developing interactive applications or immersive experiences.
